A Fort Worthian born and raised, educated by prestigious institutions, and inspired by creatives...Melanie is the owner behind a gift wrapping service soon to be known as Properly Wrapped.
Melanie Jones is the owner of Properly Wrapped - a local gift wrapping service in Fort Worth, Texas.
A Fort Worthian born and raised, Melanie left behind the bright city lights of New York to return home in 2007. She had just completed getting her Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California and an Associate's degree from Parsons School of Design. Upon her return she worked in her mother's business, Adair Eyewear. However, she missed the small unique boutiques of New York and California.
In 2010, she opened Prim & Proper Gifts. A feminine gift boutique that was for the modern, but southern woman with an affinity for color and design. Melanie carried candles, clutches, jewelry, paper goods and assortment of other little sweet somethings to gift personally & properly. She began to notice that the wrapping paper wasn't selling. To get the inventory to move she started offering to personally wrap gifts for her customers. That was the beginning of Prim & Proper Gifts transitioning to Properly Wrapped, the gift wrapping service...and stay tuned for more to come!
Today, Properly Wrapped is in the business of adding a personal touch, creating lasting impressions and fostering meaningful relationships. The goal is to make sure that anyone can make a lasting impression - one properly wrapped gift at a time. Though Melanie's business has changed over the years the principles and the foundation remains the same. (i.e. Shop small/local when possible, little details matter, and every gift should have a personal touch.)
